the February 2 5th city of Los crusis
Planning and Zoning meeting this is the
first meeting for us in
2025 um we've got a couple well one
change already to the agenda this
evening um the item number
6.2 um will be postponed
indefinitely
um
okay okay so um calling this meeting to
order uh clearly a little rusty haven't
been here in two months but um call this
meeting to order any conflicts of
interests this
evening see none um we will then go to
public participation is there anybody in
the audience tonight who wishes to speak
on an item that's not on tonight's
agenda see none we will then move into
the acceptance of the agenda um and like
I said there is item 6.2 will be
postponed indefinitely so looking for a
motion do we need a motion to pull it
the

to back up a a moment just to remind um
ourselves that we're we started doing
things a little differently to match
city council back in December so when we
accept the agenda we're also approving
the minutes and the consent at the same
time so we'll just move on um into our
new business so this evening um it will
be 6.1 but in the future if there are
any um comments on the previous meeting
minutes uh and if anything wants to get
pulled from the consent agenda we have
to do it at the acceptance of the agenda
um stage so a little bit different than
what we've are used to so point of order
chair yes and staff will definitely try
their best to make sure we remind you
all before we get to that acceptance
agenda time time that way we're all in
the same page we know we're voting on if
anybody wants to take anything off sir

and so with that we will uh go on to
item 6.1 and I'll turn it over to staff
for
presentation good evening commission uh
today tonight we have uh the Montoya
estate subdivision it's a
non-administrative replat
um it's located at 6095 limo Road it
currently encompasses half an acre it's
a vacant developed res sorry to
interrupt John can you state your name
for the record uh sorry this is uh John
Castillo um for the
record um so as I was saying it's
located at 695 limo Road uh it's a
vacant undevelop or it's a vacant
developed residential property that
currently has an accessory structure on
it um the current zoning of the property
is R1 a which is our single family
medium density
mobile um it's also located with in the
suban the Suburban Place type um and is
predominantly surrounded by single
family residential development um then
the primary access for each lot will be
through um a local roadway um known as
limo
Road as we can see from the zoning map
the subject property is highlighted
here um everything surrounding it is
generally r1a with some commercial uh
zoning districts but most of those have
residential homes on them as well
um right here this is the subject
property this is the existing exist
existing accessory structure um at one
point there was a manufactured home on
the property but they removed
that so today the pro the proposal for
the non-administrative replat is to take
the one existing lot and uh create two
New Lots that are going to be 0.25 acres
in size um as I mentioned before both
Lots will have direct access uh via limo
Road uh this is the submitted Montoya
State subdivision uh replat um taking
the one lot and splitting them into
two a notice was sent to All relevant
agencies and departments all supported
the proposed non-administrative replat
um notice was sent to All surrounding
properties within 500 uh feet staff has
not received any phone calls or emails
regarding the proposed
subdivision uh this did go to the
development Review Committee or DRC in
January or on January 22nd uh
2025 uh there was some minor discussion
um and the the DRC unanimously
recommended approval of the proposed
replat uh today staff recommends
approval based on the following findings
um based upon review by relevant City
staff the proposed uh replat complies
with all requirements and standards of
the city of Las cusa subdivision code uh
the New Lots are being that are created
by the reply comply with all
requirements of the 2001 zoning
code and the subject Parc the subject
parcel is compatible with other
Residential Properties along limo
Road uh it does meet the intent and
fulfills the purpose of the Los cruus
Municipal Code section 2- 382 it does
meet the intent and purpose of elevate
Los cruus comprehensive plan and uh the
DRC did provide a recommendation of
approval on January 22nd
today your options are to vote Yes to
approve vote no to deny vote to amend or
vote to
table all right thank you very much uh
is the applicant here and do they wish
to make any
comments not you don't have to so okay

the news this afternoon we unfortunately

commissioner Porter went ahead and
resigned this afternoon officially
submitting her resignation to us uh so
thus Begins the journey for the magnific
and 7 again I guess unfortunately so uh
we'll be down to six for a little bit
but uh you guys have been awesome at
coming up to meetings and everything
like that so I think we should be
careful a little bit till uh we get uh
commissioner Porter uh replaced on our
commission but we're still have to six
so so thankfully for that but that's all
for staff announcements for now thank
you it's a it's an elusive number that
seven Commissioners but uh we're going
to miss commission reporter and wish her
all the best um with whatever she's got
uh going on um just out of curiosity
